About the Project

PROJECT TITLE: Miniature World – Following the Footsteps of Craft, Tradition, and Railways / Miniaturowy Świat – Śladami rzemiosła, tradycji i kolei

BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The goal of the project is to create a joint tourist offer through two entities operating in the Cieszyn Silesia region: on the Polish side – Chlebowa Chata, an existing open-air museum, which will be made accessible to foreign tourists, particularly from the Czech Republic, and on the Czech side – a new tourist attraction, the miniature model railway museum "U Trombika" in an old rural building.

The joint offer includes:

  1. A field game with storytelling and modern electronic elements, taking place at both attractions.

  2. A combined tour of both exhibitions.

  3. Joint promotional activities (website, social media, flyers, posters).

  4. Family picnics (open days at both attractions) with demonstrations and thematic workshops.

To connect the two locations, Chlebowa Chata plans to create a model of the old village in miniature, encouraging visitors to explore the miniature world of modelers in greater depth. At the "U Trombika" museum, the miniature world is more developed and, through railway models, offers information about shared technical and cultural heritage, as well as the opportunity to operate the models. Both locations provide a similar idyllic atmosphere, supporting rural development and attracting tourists to the region. Target groups include local residents and tourists in the cross-border area, especially during holidays and weekends. The two main groups of tourists are: individual visitors (including families with children) and organized groups (kindergartens, schools, adults).

MAIN GOAL AND PROJECT RESULTS

As a result of the project, two tourist facilities will be created: a new model railway museum and a modernized Chlebowa Chata open-air museum (PL). Project outputs include permanent exhibitions, a field game, information boards, and family events.

The added value of the project is the cross-border cooperation of two organizations, combining tradition, modern education, and technology. The project will be visited by tourists and the local community alike. Through promotion, it will attract new visitors and increase awareness of the region. Two permanent attractions and one annual family picnic will be established. The results will be maintained from own resources.
